Learning...

Life is busy!!!! Period! I am not one who likes to be busy. If I had it my way, I would be chillin at home most days just playin on the floor with Linocln, watching movies with Chris, and cooking insane amount of goodies. But that really can't happen and it's probably a good thing too :) But in all the crazy busyness we have had our moments of fun. Lincoln is very active and loves to play with anyone willing to play too. He has learned a little bit about balance and holding on tight...and loves when daddy plays horse. We also tried to have art time...except all Lincoln wanted to do was to eat the paint. It was a good try. He has also learned how to respond when I say "Smile for the camera!" and it's about the cutest smile and so genuine! Lincoln has also mastered the art of climbing and diving. His favorite place to climb is on the camp chair serving as our desk chair for the moment. He thinks he is so cool too. It's so fun to watch him grow and learn. He's getting so big!

Don't tell Chris, but Linocln loves pinterest! Shhhh....

1 Year Photo shoot...for real

So Taneya came over to do Lincoln's 1 year old pictures. They always turn out so much better when she takes pictures! She was able to catch a whole lotta personality and I love it!

Birthday Celebrations

 Happy First Birthday Lincoln! I hope you had as much fun as I did. This birthday thing is way better with kids!!!

 He totally opened his presents all by himself. We didn't show him how or anything...he's pro!

 Mom, that's enough pictures already! I have about four times as many pictures than I put up...he's our first kid...what do you expect!

The cake didn't turn out too bad. You can totally see the checker board pattern...so fun!!!!

1 year photo shoot

 This was the best I could do today. He took his first steps yesterday and is still trying to really master walking. But he loves to stand and clap at himself doing it! The photo shoot went something like this...

Birthday Preparations

Preparations started early this morning for Lincoln's very first birthday celebration! I ventured out to make a fun cake so I tried a checker board cake...we will see if it turns out. It was fun to watch Lincoln watching the cake. I don't know if he really gets what is going on but I have made sure to make a big deal out of it and hope he gets excited.
