On a whim we decided to change Lincoln's bed...but is he ready to be in a bed? The real question is are we, his parents, ready for him to be in a bed? Are we ready to give up some of that freedom parents get from a crib? Well, Lincoln was excited for the little change and we decided to give it a shot. For at least one day and one night.
Little did we know the expression on his face was telling us of things to come. Lincoln loved the bed but it gave him a little too much opportunity to roam and play instead of sleeping. He fell asleep great and we went to check on him and he was by the door. We thought that might happen. But the real fun happened the next morning. Instead of waking up to Lincoln yelling mom or dad we woke up to a very loud banging coming from his room. We went down and get him and he had his plastic bat hitting the door. He really wanted out! It was hilarious but we prefer to hear him yelling.
Then it was time for a nap...that didn't happen. The only way he is getting a big boy bead now is if we take out all his toys! Oh boy! This growing up business is tough stuff!!! But for now Lincoln is staying in a crib. Sorry buddy...soon...maybe.
