Just more Lincoln

Just a few pictures from the last couple of weeks...he sure has grown so much!

 -2 days old

 -I have a baby picture doing the same thing...

 -we only catch him smiling in his sleep. 

 -sometimes he stays awake long enough to grab a quick picture

-kind of a rough morning, but he finally calmed down once he was next to his dad

Here are some of the most adorable pictures ever!! We just love this little bundle joy. We are working on getting the hang of things...slowly. He loves to sleep during the day and party at night :) Someday he will learn the difference between day and night.

Everything went so good and we are all healthy, happy, and tired (go figure right?!)  :)

The last couple of weeks

Today marks 40 weeks and 1 day...according to my due date...and still no baby. It's a good thing I know I won't be pregnant forever, even though some days it sure does feel like it. I'm not miserable yet (a very common question these days). I feel pregnant and extremely tired but I still feel good. Although I am very ready to meet our lil' guy. 

At today's Dr. appointment we scheduled an induction for Thursday, July 12. I'm all the way effaced and dilated to a 3. Maybe our baby will decide to come before Thursday but at least it won't go longer than that...it's kind of a relief. I am getting slightly nervous about the whole labor and delivery part of this journey. But it has to happen so bring it on. 

I am officially on maternity leave which gives me a lot of time with not too much to do. If I had more energy there would be a huge list of things I could get done, but being 9 months pregnant....nothing sounds good. I have started thinking a lot about what it will be like to be a mom-am I really ready, will I be a good mom, how will I know what to do? I guess I will just live and learn through trial and error. 

 I thought it would be fun to have all the pictures next to each other and see the progression that way...

38 weeks....

Well, we had a doctor's visit today and it was a bit interesting. Here are the stats:
         *Dilated to a 2-ish
         *90% effaced
         *Belly size a tad small.
Everything looks great except for the belly size. Doctor got us in for an ultrasound just to make sure he was measuring right, weighed enough, and still had enough fluid. If our lil' guy was measuring too small we had a few options...1) if he was way to small the doctor was going to take the baby today, 2) if he was small we would go to the hospital tomorrow, 3) if he was just a little small we would go in on Thursday, 4) if he was just sitting really low and measuring ok we will get to wait it out. Lots of options and a little bit of an emotional roller coaster. Well, everything turned out to be ok! He is a little bit small ... head size good, limb lenghts good, and his belly is nice and round! No induction this week...thank goodness. We are ready whenever he comes and it looks like it could be any day now. How exciting!!!!!!

Just thought it would be fun to see the list of "could be" names we have picked out....

Now it is time to see which one it will be...just waiting for this lil' guy to show his cute face so we can decide!

Memorial Day

Early morning fishing!!! Chris wanted to try using shrimp as bate to catch some fish at Utah Lake so we went and tried it out! It was a windy, chilly morning and the fish were definitely not biting. We weren't out very long before we decided to head back home...some day we'll be able to fish the way Chris wants to
