The Waiting Game....

Who knew the process of purchasing a home is so involved!? We were hoping everything would run so smooth and work the first time so we could close just a little bit early on our new home. Well, the complete opposite is our fate.
Of course something would happen to slow the whole process down a bit, and slow it down a bit more, and slow it down just a bit more. I think I finally realized why some people stay in one home their whole life....it's so much easier! :)
Regardless....this is a great opportunity to practice a wee bit of patience. I have been struggling a teeny tiny bit--or maybe A WHOLE LOT--with this whole thing. It just goes to show that sometimes certain circumstances happen to help you learn a few of life's lessons.
So what is the lesson that I get to learn....hmmm.....if I don't have control, I don't need to worry about it. And I am totally working on actually incorporating that into my life right now. Let's face it, worry is just wasted energy. And there are so many better things to do than worry. (except when all your things are all in boxes) Like I said, I'm working on it. :)

June 24, 2011....We're moving!!!!!! *if everything works out*

Chris and I are moving into our very own place. We are in the processing of finishing all the paperwork and hopefully close on July 7th! It's just a little condo out in Eagle Mountain (about 10-ish minutes from where we currently live). There are a few pictures below...not my decorating unfortunately. We are getting so excited and can't wait to start packing and move in!!

June 13, 2011...Diaper Tricycle

So...one of the girls at work is expecting a little boy in August and we are throwing her a surprise baby shower. Everyone in the Lehi store went in on a gift and this is what we decided on...a diaper tricycle. So cute!!!! At first we were thinking of doing a diaper cake but that is to cutesy for Diana and then I stumbled upon this idea and I'm so glad I did. It was a blast to make and pretty easy! Everything is monkey themed, even the diapers had little monkeys on them.

May 26, 2011...Yay for crafts!!!!

I don't know if anyone else has this problem but I sure do. I have a sweet storage of grocery bags! I love having them but at the same time they take up space and just look ugly even if they do hide in the cupboard under the sink. It drives me crazy!!! So I finally did something about it...I love it!!! It's cute and oh so very functional.

My next little project came about because I discovered a slight pet peeve. We had just finished our little table in our front room and it became a great place to set drinks. The ring thing on the table after a cold drink has been sitting there doesn't come off!!!! Ahhh!!!!! So my clever and cute solution...
I really wanted to spell out Bogenschutz but 1) I couldn't find that many little round things and 2) that would be a lot of coaster, so I settled for six. They come in handy so often!

This is my last project. I just really like the cut of the wood so I spray painted over the ridiculous saying that was on it replaced it something a lot better. It's so fun putting your name on things.

April 16, 2011...Salt Lake 5K

Chris and I were planning on running this race together. He ended up having to take a test that morning so I ran it with Teresa and Martha...so fun! Us girls really hadn't run much before hand so this was just something fun to do. Chris and I have been planning on training for a half marathon by the end of the summer. I know he could totally do it but I think I might stick with the shorter stuff. But who knows...maybe I will be able to run a half...someday!
Before the race...
At the starting line. There were tons of people!
Finished!!! Toward the end of the race I told Martha and Teresa we need to finish strong and keep running. I kept being peppy and then realized that they were nowhere near me. Somehow they got stuck behind a bunch of people so I finished by myself. It felt so good to run and be active!

April 13, 2011...Jazz Game

My first ever Jazz game, beside seeing them for a few minutes on tv. Chris was able to get the tickets from work and we gladly took them. They were amazing seats...thanks 4Life!!!!

The final shot of the game!!!!! It was a good second half.
